Radiant Rose: The Story and Ingredients Behind Our Luxurious Tallow Face Cream

Long before Radiant Rose existed, my daily skincare routine was incredibly simple: I added frankincense essential oil to pure argan oil and applied it to my face every day.

I loved how soft, nourished, and radiant my skin felt with that uncomplicated combination. There was no long list of synthetic ingredients—just two beautiful oils that worked remarkably well together.

Over time, I began experimenting. I incorporated grass-fed beef tallow for its rich, skin-loving moisture, then carefully added other botanical oils that each offered something special. Little by little, the formula evolved until Radiant Rose was born: a deeply nourishing face cream created to support dry, mature, sensitive, and weather-stressed skin.

Every ingredient was chosen intentionally. Nothing is included simply to fill the jar, improve the appearance of the label, or follow a skincare trend. Let’s look at exactly what is inside Radiant Rose and why it’s there.

Grass-Fed Beef Tallow

Grass-fed beef tallow body butters forms the deeply nourishing foundation of Radiant Rose.

We exclusively use kidney suet—the exceptionally pure, nutrient-rich fat that surrounds the kidneys. Considered the most prized part of the animal’s fat, kidney suet renders into an exceptionally clean, smooth, luxurious tallow that is beautifully suited for facial skincare.

Tallow has a fatty-acid profile that is remarkably compatible with the natural oils found in human skin. It contains fatty acids such as oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linoleic acid, which help moisturize the skin, soften rough areas, and support the skin’s protective barrier.

Unlike a water-based lotion that may feel hydrating at first but quickly disappear, tallow provides rich, lasting moisture. It helps reduce the feeling of dryness and protects the skin against moisture loss—something that becomes especially important as our skin matures and naturally produces less oil.

We use grass-fed tallow because the quality and source of every ingredient matter. When properly rendered and blended, tallow creates a smooth, luxurious cream that melts beautifully into the skin without leaving it feeling coated in synthetic waxes or silicones.

Argan Oil

Argan oil will always hold a special place in the story of Radiant Rose because it was part of my original daily facial oil.

Often called “liquid gold,” argan oil is naturally rich in oleic and linoleic fatty acids, vitamin E, and antioxidant compounds. It helps soften and condition the skin while supporting a supple, healthy-looking complexion.

Argan oil is deeply moisturizing, yet it is lighter than many other oils. This makes it a beautiful partner for tallow: it helps the finished cream spread easily and absorb more comfortably while still providing the nourishment dry and mature skin needs.

It is especially loved for helping skin feel smoother and more elastic and for softening the appearance of dryness-related fine lines.

Olive Oil

Olive oil has been used in traditional skincare for thousands of years, and for good reason.

Rich in squalene, fatty acids, and naturally occurring antioxidants, olive oil helps soften the skin and reinforce its natural moisture barrier. It is especially comforting for skin that feels dry, tight, rough, or exposed to harsh weather.

In Radiant Rose, olive oil works alongside tallow and argan oil to provide long-lasting emollience and protection. It gives the cream a rich, nurturing quality without relying on petroleum-derived ingredients.

As with every oil we use, quality matters. We choose beautiful, high-quality olive oil for the nutrients it contributes—not simply as an inexpensive carrier oil.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant and an important part of our oil-based formulas.

Topically, vitamin E helps condition and moisturize the skin. Its antioxidant properties also help protect the oils in the formula from oxidation, supporting the freshness and integrity of the finished product.

For the skin, vitamin E contributes to a softer, smoother feel and provides additional support against the drying effects of everyday environmental exposure.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense is where Radiant Rose truly began.

For years, I added frankincense to argan oil and used it on my face every day. I loved the way the combination made my skin look and feel, so there was never any question that frankincense would remain at the heart of the final formula.

Frankincense has been treasured in traditional beauty rituals for centuries. In facial skincare, it is commonly used to support a smooth, balanced, and revitalized appearance. It is especially popular in formulas designed for mature skin because it helps condition the skin and improve the appearance of tone and texture.

Its warm, resinous aroma also adds something deeper to the experience of using Radiant Rose. It feels grounding, calming, and quietly luxurious.

Rose Essential Oil

Rose is one of the most precious and beloved ingredients in botanical skincare.

It is widely used to comfort dry, delicate, and mature skin while helping the complexion appear soft, calm, and luminous. Its antioxidant properties make it a beautiful addition to a formula created to support skin through the natural aging process.

Rose also gives Radiant Rose its delicate floral heart. The aroma is not added merely to make the cream smell pretty—it is part of the complete botanical experience and contributes its own skin-conditioning qualities.

Helichrysum Essential Oil

Helichrysum is sometimes called the “everlasting flower,” and it has earned an extraordinary reputation in traditional botanical skincare.

It is especially valued in facial formulations intended for mature, delicate, or environmentally stressed skin. Helichrysum helps soothe and condition the skin while supporting a more even, refreshed, and healthy-looking complexion.

Because it is such a precious botanical, it is often reserved for higher-end facial oils and restorative skincare preparations. In Radiant Rose, it complements frankincense beautifully and adds another layer of intentional care.

Carrot Seed Essential Oil

Carrot seed essential oil is frequently used in skincare created for dry and mature complexions.

Naturally rich in antioxidant compounds, it helps support skin that appears tired, dull, or weathered. It is commonly included in facial formulas to promote a smoother, more revitalized appearance and to help protect the skin from the visible effects of environmental stress.

Its earthy aroma also grounds the floral notes of rose and lavender, giving Radiant Rose a beautifully balanced botanical scent.

Carrot seed essential oil should not be confused with carrot seed carrier oil or carrot extract, and it is not a substitute for sunscreen. Its role in Radiant Rose is to condition and support the appearance of the skin.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender is known for its calming aroma, but its value extends well beyond relaxation.

In skincare, lavender is traditionally used to comfort and balance the skin. It is particularly lovely in a nighttime facial routine, when both the skin and nervous system benefit from a moment of quiet care.

Lavender softens the intensity of the richer botanical aromas in Radiant Rose and helps create the peaceful ritual I wanted this cream to offer.

Neroli Essential Oil

Neroli essential oil is distilled from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree. Its aroma is floral, citrusy, and unmistakably luxurious.

It is especially well suited to dry, sensitive, and mature skin and is traditionally used to help the complexion feel soft, balanced, and renewed. Neroli also contributes to the emotional experience of Radiant Rose—its aroma is often described as uplifting and calming at the same time.

Because neroli is such a precious oil, even a small amount adds incredible depth to the formula.

Rosemary Essential Oil

Rosemary essential oil completes the botanical blend.

In facial skincare, rosemary is commonly used for its antioxidant and clarifying properties. It helps support a fresh, balanced complexion while complementing the richer oils in the formula.

Its clean, herbal aroma also gives structure to the softer floral ingredients, helping Radiant Rose smell botanical and sophisticated rather than overly sweet.

Why Radiant Rose Is Made Without Beeswax

Radiant Rose is intentionally made without beeswax.

Beeswax is a wonderful ingredient, and we use it purposefully in some of our protective herbal balms. However, I did not want Radiant Rose to feel like a balm or leave a waxy layer sitting on the surface of the face. I wanted the tallow and botanical oils to melt directly into the skin, leaving it deeply nourished, soft, and comfortable.

Beeswax creates a more occlusive barrier that helps seal and protect the skin, which is ideal for certain products and purposes. But for Radiant Rose, I wanted a softer, creamier formula that would allow the tallow, argan oil, olive oil, and precious botanicals to remain the focus.

Its beeswax-free formula gives Radiant Rose its rich, buttery texture and allows a very small amount to glide easily over slightly damp skin.

More Than a Moisturizer

Radiant Rose wasn’t created by beginning with a standard cream base and adding trendy ingredients to it. It evolved naturally from the simple facial oil I trusted and used on my own skin for years.

Every ingredient was added with intention. Grass-fed tallow provides lasting moisture. Argan and olive oils soften and condition. Vitamin E offers antioxidant support. Frankincense, rose, helichrysum, carrot seed, lavender, neroli, and rosemary complete the formula with their own distinctive skin-loving and aromatic qualities.

The result is a concentrated, water-free face cream designed to nourish the skin—not dilute it. Because there is no water in the formula, a small amount is all you need.

Warm a tiny amount between your fingertips and gently press it into clean, slightly damp skin. Allow it to melt in slowly, giving extra attention to areas that feel dry or need additional care.

Radiant Rose Face Cream is the culmination of years of personal use, botanical knowledge, and careful refinement. It began with frankincense and argan oil—and eventually blossomed into something even more beautiful.
